·Participates in company safety programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
·Coordinate and cooperate with utility inspections.
·Performs inspections, water analysis, and troubleshooting, to optimized plant performance.
·Performs scheduled and un-scheduled plant maintenance to optimizeplant availability and improve cost effectiveness.
·Performs emergency and casualty control procedures as required.
·Collects and documents plant data accurately, to ensure that historicalrecording and reporting is done and takes corrective action if data is outof parameters.
·Acquire and maintain a strong familiarity with all plant systems via P&ID system walk downs.
·Participates in the training and qualification program.
·Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
·Other activities as assigned by Plant Manager.
SPECIAL JOB CHARACTERISTICS:
Works 12 hour rotating shift. Must be available for call-outs, scheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a minimum of two yearsexperience. Other skills required include knowledge of computer systems andsoftware. Have strong cross-functional and interpersonal communications skills.Driving on company business is a requirement of this position and as such, theincumbent shall have and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.Performs repetitive and non-repetitive physical duties. Requires, pushing,pulling, stretching, bending, climbing, working in awkward positions, and liftingup to 50 lbs. Must be able to notify and direct contract and company personnel in the event of an emergency. Incumbent must adhere to established policies and procedures under the directionof the Plant Manager and O&M Supervisor.
